The hardcopy version of SAM is a gorgeous publication that showcases some of the most exciting research being undertaken at the University of Sydney. SAM is distributed bi-annually to the university’s alumni community of over 250 thousand people.

Receiving a clear brief and thorough collateral is always a great start to a job. And so, from the outset, I knew that this Colombian-based project involving Jaime Gongora had already received extensive press coverage. My task was to find new angles. Interviewing Jaime was a wonderful way to confirm my approach and add nuance to the story and complete the article.

It’s a delight to have it featured as the cover story for that issue of SAM, accompanied by Guy Shield’s amazing illustrations.
